Treadmill vrs. Pavement Running

A study published by the New York Times compared running outdoors on pavement to indoors on the treadmill. The conclusion was that you will burn more calories outside then in, but you will also have a greater chance of injury outdoors. My recommendation would be to combine the two.Continue

Side Plank for a Healthy Back, and for good looking obliques....

Here is one of my favorite exercises to give to clients and use in my own workouts. Not many exercises can give you the benefits of flatter abs, better balance, and stronger back muscles like the side plank. With this exercise, you can strengthen your core and upper body while avoiding the injuries that may come from everyday activities. You can put it into your workouts with your regular ab routine or on days where your not doing any direct ab work.

4 Pieces of Home Equipment You MUST Have!!

For those that don't belong to a gym, but still want to keep in shape here are the pieces of equipment you should have(in no particular order). 1.
